17-year-old stabbed to death in Liberty

A 17-year-old male was stabbed to death in Liberty on Saturday and a juvenile suspect is in custody, Liberty police said.

Police and an ambulance crew were sent about 5:40 p.m. to the 1200 block of Pier Street. Shawn Bonchek was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police arrested a male teenager.
