Munday Verse: Stern lecture
Stern lecture
My admonition — clear, precise— no doubt of my intent;
I told the person listening precisely what I meant.
And all my expectations I explained in great detail
Of how the problem called for a solution to prevail.
My vocal tone exuded air presenting firm control;
No chance there was for anyone to miss the stated goal.
Be stern and strict to make a point, it’s almost like a rule;
For firmness carries gravitas, a perfect teaching tool.
It’s really just the only way for problems such as these;
But being a Midwesterner, of course, I added, “Please.”
