KC man killed in motorcycle accident

Robert J. Beecher, 34, of Kansas City was killed late Saturday after the motorcycle he was driving crashed in a construction zone on Interstate 635, the Missouri Highway Patrol said.

The patrol said Beecher was southbound on I-635 near Missouri 9 when another vehicle cut through construction cones into his lane and slowed down.

Beecher attempted to avoid the vehicle, and the motorcycle overturned and left the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the patrol said.
