Man dies after being struck by train in southern Overland Park
A man died early Wednesday after being struck by a train in southern Overland Park.
The train hit the pedestrian shortly before 5 a.m. near 161st Street and Mission Road.
Mission Road in that area was closed while Overland Park police investigated the incident. The road reopened about 9 a.m.
The man’s identity was being withheld until relatives could be notified.
