Child struck and killed by pickup truck in Spring Hill
A child was struck and killed by a pickup truck in Johnson County on Wednesday, according to authorities.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident about 4 p.m. on Woodland Road near W. 215th Street in Spring Hill, about 40 miles southwest of Kansas City.
Officers at the scene found that a child was struck and killed by a black pickup truck traveling northbound on Woodland Road.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
No other details were immediately available.
The Sheriff’s Office continued to investigate along with Spring Hill police.
