I-435 in Johnson County reopened after downed power line forces closure

Interstate 435 was closed down for a while Thursday afternoon after strong winds knocked down a power line near Roe Avenue.

Crews closed westbound I-435 about 1 p.m. using a rolling roadblock so that the power line could be removed.

About 1:30 p.m., I-435 in both directions were shut down.

The highway was reopened about 1:40 p.m. after the power line was removed.
