One killed in wreck on Interstate 29
A man was killed Wednesday evening in a crash on Interstate 29 in the Northland, according to police.
The wreck was reported about 6:40 p.m. when a Volkswagen traveling southbound on I-29 struck a van and veered through the cable barriers on the median and into oncoming traffic near North Oak Trafficway.
The car struck four other vehicles in the northbound lanes of I-29. The driver, described as a man in his 30s, died at the scene, police said.
Two other people involved in the crash were transported to a hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
