Liberty woman is killed in Clinton County wreck
A 63-year-old Liberty woman died in a wreck Friday on Interstate 35 about four miles south of Lathrop in Clinton County.
Pamela J. Foster was a passenger in a 2003 Jeep Liberty headed north on I-35 at 8:18 a.m, the Missouri Highway Patrol said.
The 55-year-old driver of the Jeep lost control while crossing a bridge. The Jeep slid off the west side of the road, crashed in the median, hit a guardrail on the southbound side of the interstate and went over the guardrail. The Jeep then struck the other guardrail on the west side of the southbound lanes, the patrol said.
Foster, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected. She died at the scene.
The driver and a 68-year-old male passenger also were not wearing seat belts, but they were not injured.
