Munday on Monday: ‘Take my advice’

“If you are wise,” a friend will say,

(With arching brow that’s cast my way)

“You’ll take my sage advice and heed.”

Oh, I shall take it — yes, indeed!

And taking it quite soon enough

I’ll wrap it up in bubbly stuff

Which, packed inside a cardboard crate,

Is double-strapped in packing tape;

And then I’ll ship it far away

Where all advice is meant to stay.

If you should ask, I’ll say it twice:

Why, yes, I’ve taken your advice!
