King Tut exhibit nets $800,000 for Union Station
Nearly 116,000 people visited the King Tut exhibit at Union Station this year, netting about $800,000 for the historic depot. The station’s attendance goal had been 100,000.
The centennial celebration of Union Station also yielded a net surplus of more than $860,000, officials said Friday.
Union Station management intends to establish a new endowment as well as pursue a long-term maintenance plan that includes modernizing its 24 elevators.
