Small plane makes emergency landing in Northland cornfield near KCI
A single-engine plane experienced engine problems Saturday and landed safely in a cornfield near Kansas City International Airport.
Neither of the two people on board was injured, said airport spokesman Joe McBride.
The Kitfox aircraft, which he said was built from a kit, landed about noon near Robinhood Lane and 108th Street, two miles east of the airport.
“Pilot and passenger walked away,” McBride said.
Their names were not available.
