Kansas, Missouri among most humble states on social media

Kansas and Missouri have something to brag about.

When it comes to social media, residents in those two states are among the most humble in the nation, according to the social media app HeyLets.

But when comparing the two states, Kansans are more modest and Missourians are more boastful, according to HeyLets’ blog.

To analyze the nation’s bragging habbits, HeyLets asked 2,500 social media users what percentage of their posts typically were self-promotional.

Kansas, with 34 percent of being self promotional, ranked fourth on the Top 20 “Most Humble,” trailing only Utah, Oregon and South Carolina, according to the blog.

Missouri ranked 17th, with 48 percent of its posts being boastful.

Meanwhile, California, at 77 percent, Washington, at 76 percent and Nevada, at 72 percent, topped the list of the Top 20 “Most Braggadocious” states.

The most bragged about topics included taking special trips, attending memorable events, meeting noteworthy people, relaying something nice significant other did and receiving good work-related news.
