The public may vote online through Saturday to help determine the winning team, which will be announced at 10 a.m. Nov. 18 at Union Station.

The winning team in each grade category will receive $50,000 to be used toward science and engineering education. Other finalists will receive lesser amounts for a total $155,000 in grants.

A record 5,300 students representing 520 school teams participated in this round of Battle of the Brains. Finalists represent schools from 12 area districts.
