Munday on Monday: Noise level
Noise level
It’s louder than the mowing crew that makes the front yards roar
And puts to shame the engine of a jet that’s poised to soar;
In decibels it likely tops the buses as they idle
And far outstrips the crashing surf on rocks where sea is tidal
Or even jolt of thunder when the lightning strikes again.
Yet none of these compares at all to crushing, rumbling din
As when you’re in a theater in which your ears are blown
By trailers of attractions run before the movie’s shown!
