Sun reappears in KC after being hidden by overcast skies

For the first time in several days, Kansas City will see sunshine Monday.

Kansas City International Airport has been under overcast skies for about 104 hours, according to the National Weather Service.

The clouds began clearing out about 6:45 a.m. Monday, giving way to sunshine.

Highs are expected to be in the lower 50s Monday, then falling into the upper 30s on Tuesday.

Clouds are expected to return on Wednesday; highs are expected to be near 40 degrees.

The end of the week will be warmer, with highs in the upper 40s Thursday, lower 50s on Friday and mid-50s on Saturday.
