Man killed in crash with bridge pillar on K-10 identified
A 32-year-old Bonner Springs man died early Friday when he lost control of his car in the rain and slammed into a bridge pillar.
The Kansas Highway Patrol identified the man as Arnulfo V. Ramirez.
The crash occurred shortly after 4 a.m. as Ramirez was headed from the ramp from Interstate 435 to westbound Kansas 10.
Ramirez lost control of his 2003 Mitsubishi in the rain and the car spun to the right, left the roadway and struck a bridge pillar.
The crash occurred where K-10 travels under I-435.
Westbound K-10 was closed for several hours while the Kansas Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
