Four hurt in accident involving ATA bus

Four people were injured Monday morning in an accident involving an ATA bus at U.S. 40 and South Hunter Street, on the border of western Independence and eastern Kansas City.

Details of how the 9:30 a.m. accident occurred were not immediately available. The injuries appeared to be minor, police said.

Traffic in the immediate area was shut down while police investigated.
