Driver killed in Thanksgiving traffic accident identified

Authorities on Friday identified the driver killed in a one-car accident Thursday afternoon in the Northland.

John Anderson, 60, of Kansas City died after his vehicle ran off the left side of Interstate 35 near Brighton Avenue at about 1:15 p.m. The vehicle, headed north on I-35, struck a guardrail after leaving the highway.

Anderson, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
