National Weather Service touts Black Friday ‘warm event’
Not to be outdone by all the hype from retailers, the National Weather Service in Kansas City is using its own sales-like graphic for its Black Friday forecast.
Using a black graphic with white and red lettering and a red tag, the National Weather Service forecasts a Black Friday Warm Event in Kansas City.
“Up to 20 degrees warmer!” the graphic says. “Ends Sunday November 30.”
On Facebook, the local office of the National Weather Service said there is some great shopping weather Friday with highs rising into the 50s and even warmer on Saturday with highs in the 60s.
“But these temperatures won’t last long,” the weather service warns. “Another cold front moves in on Sunday, so get out and enjoy this beautiful weather while you can!”
