Kansas City’s Plaza Lights turned on during 85th annual ceremony

Dayton Moore and Alex Gordon of the Royals flipped the switch Thursday evening and the Plaza Lights were illuminated for the 85th time as the night sky also was lit up with fireworks.

The Plaza Lights will shine each day from 5 p.m.-3 a.m. through Jan. 18.
