Wreck in eastern Independence kills pickup truck’s driver
A 44-year-old driver died Sunday night after the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck he was driving overturned in eastern Independence, police said.
Police were withholding the victim’s name until family could be notified.
The man was headed west on Truman Road near Crenshaw Road when the truck left the roadway and overturned about 9:15 p.m., police said. The driver died at the scene.
