Prison ordered in fatal Overland Park crash

An Olathe man was sentenced Friday to 55 months in prison for a fatal Overland Park traffic crash that killed a Texas man last year.

Zachary Wempe, 25, was sentenced in Johnson County District Court where he pleaded guilty earlier this year to charges of involuntary manslaughter and aggravated battery.

The March 2013 crash near 103rd Street and Metcalf Avenue killed Carson Norris, 21, of El Paso, Texas, and seriously injured another person.
