Freezing drizzle Friday, weekend rain, below normal temps returning
Break out the ice scrapers if you haven’t already.
Kansas City’s weather will go from sunny and cool Thursday to a possibility of freezing drizzle with very light icing possible Friday morning for areas south of Interstate 70, according to the National Weather Service.
A chance for light rain and drizzle will continue Friday after the temperatures warm.
Rain will prevail across the region on Saturday and Sunday with drier weather returning on Monday — although below normal temperatures are expected to return too, according to the National Weather Service.
Warmer this weekend, but turning colder next week. Sorry folks...
Highs Thursday are expected to be in the upper 30s to lower 40s. Highs on Friday are expected to be in the middle 40s. Saturday and Sunday’s highs are expected to be in the lower to middle 50s.
Monday’s high is expected to reach into the lower 40s.
