University of Missouri graduate students will keep health insurance subsidies that university officials two months ago said would be stopped.
At an all-campus faculty meeting this week, Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin said the university will pay the health insurance subsidies for qualified graduate students.
In August, the university informed graduate students they would no longer receive health insurance subsidies because of a ruling by the Internal Revenue Service that potentially affected public colleges and universities across the country. Student protests followed.
