Injury accident blocks traffic on U.S. 71 in Kansas City

Northbound traffic on U.S. 71 in Kansas City was shut down near 59th Street after an accident shortly before 5:30 p.m. Friday, police said.

The accident involved at least four vehicles and left several people injured.

Crews were still working to clear the wreck about 7 p.m.
