Police searching for missing Independence teen
Independence police have asked the public’s help in finding a 15-year-old girl missing more than a week.
Mahogany L. Washington, 15, disappeared from her home in the 1400 block of South Baker Drive at 4 a.m. Nov. 2. She has health issues that require medication, and authorities say they do not know if she has been taking her medicine.
Police describe her as African American, 5-foot-3, 130 pounds with blonde shoulder-length hair, hazel eyes and two tattoos — a heart on her hip and a camel on one toe.
She may be with her boyfriend, 17-year-old Michael Davis of St. Joseph, police said.
Police ask anyone with information about Mahogany’s whereabouts to dial 911, call the nearest law enforcement agency or call Independence police at 816-325-7300.
