Munday on Monday: Table top

It wasn’t long ago, in fact,

A TV set was able

(When placed right in the living room)

To act just like a table.

A piece of furniture it was,

A place for vases — clocks —

And then a little later, say,

The set-top cable box.

But nowadays, don’t even think

Of trying that again;

To place atop a TV now,

It must be mighty thin!
