Police identify man found unconscious in Kansas City

Police said they identified a man who remained hospitalized more than a week after he was found unconscious in south Kansas City.

Fire Department personnel found the man suffering from an apparent medical problem on Sept. 16 and took him to a hospital.

He remained hospitalized Thursday and had not regained consciousness. His identity was not known for several days.

Police said they identified the man within hours of distributing photos of him Thursday. His name was not released.
