KCK police seek tips in death of Olathe man found in creek
Kansas City, Kan., police are seeking help from the public as they investigate the death of an Olathe man found in a creek last month.
John Grady Simpson, 34, was found dead Aug. 19 in the area of 58th Street and Kansas Avenue. Police have not said how Simpson died, but they say they are investigating it as a suspicious death.
Police said Simpson was last seen leaving his home in Olathe on the morning of Aug. 8. He was possibly seen later that day near 55th Street and Swartz Road in Kansas City, Kan.
The vehicle he was driving that day has not been found. It is described as a 2015 Ford Fusion with a Kansas license tag of 258 GUR. The vehicle is dark gray or green metallic and has noticeable damage on the rear driver’s side door.
