Traffic moving again after accident on I-70 in Kansas City
Traffic opened up on eastbound Interstate 70 about 5 p.m. Tuesday after an accident near East 27th Street.
Eastbound traffic had been shut down for about two hours after a semi-trailer rolled over at about 3 p.m.
The accident threatened to affect rush hour traffic and likely those drivers headed for the Kansas City Royals game early on Tuesday evening, police said.
Shortly after 5 p.m., work crews removing the semi-trailer opened up two lanes of traffic. The right lane was expected to remain closed until about 7 p.m.
