Blaze damages house in KC’s Northeast area

Kansas City firefighters battled a blaze at a two-story home in the Northeast area Friday morning.

They reported heavy flames and smoke showing when they arrived about 11 a.m. in the 3700 block of Roberts Street.

Though initial reports suggested a person may have been trapped on the roof, firefighters did not find anyone in the home. They placed the fire under control less than 10 minutes after arriving.
