MoDOT closes lane of southbound I-35 at Cambridge Circle for emergency repairs

The Missouri Department of Transportation closed one lane of southbound Interstate 35 at Cambridge Circle at noon Tuesday for emergency repairs to an expansion joint.

The closure will affect drivers headed south out of downtown Kansas City.

Crews closed the left lane, the one next to the barrier wall. The transportation department had not determined how long the lane would be closed.

Drivers entering the area were asked to use caution and watch for workers while driving through the work zone.
