Adjacent southeast Kansas City homes burn
Firefighters battled fires at adjacent southeast Kansas City homes Tuesday morning.
Multiple fire crews responded about 8:20 a.m. to 5603 and 5605 E. 101st St. Firefighters reported both blazes under control about 8:30 a.m.
Firefighters requested American Red Cross assistance for five adults and one child.
Although the investigation is continuing, the Kansas City Fire Department fire marshal’s office believes the fires could have been set intentionally, Battalion Chief James Garrett said Tuesday afternoon.
