Operation Jumbo Drop: Animal sculptures installed at Powell Gardens

It’s taking heavy equipment at Powell Gardens to get ready for the exhibit “Gardens Gone Wild: An Animal Art Adventure,” opening May 31. Workers guided a 12-foot-tall bronze elephant sculpture as it dangled from a crane Wednesday at the Fountain Garden. The 26 pieces for the exhibit were created by Dan Ostermiller of Loveland, Colo.
