The Broadway Bridge and U.S. 169 will be closed in both directions Sunday morning for the annual Broadway Bridge Run.

Kansas City police said they planned to close the bridge from 6:30 a.m. to noon. Other streets will also be closed at times for the event. The run is sponsored by the police department on behalf of the Special Olympics.

The race includes a 10K run and a half marathon, which start and end at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.

Rolling street closures will begin at 16th and Wyondotte streets and will include Southwest Trafficway, 39th and Main streets, and Southwest Boulevard, among other roads.
