Kansas City metro under flash-flood watch; heavy rain expected
The National Weather Service has issued a flash-flood watch for the area until Saturday morning, saying they expect repeated rounds of heavy rain.
Strong, repeated storms are expected to move into the Kansas City area Friday afternoon and hang around into the night, with the NWS calling for 1 to 3 inches possible.
The storms are in advance of a cold front moving into the area, pushing high temperatures over the weekend down into the 70s.
