Pedestrian struck, killed on I-435 near Front Street in Kansas City
A Kansas City man walking in a highway traffic lane died early Friday when a Ford pickup truck struck him, police said.
The driver stopped immediately and waited on police to arrive after hitting the man about 3:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 435 just south of Front Street, police said.
The pedestrian had been walking in or across the outside lane of traffic, police said.
His name has not been released.
