Family members seek missing Ottawa man in Kansas City
Police searched for a 42-year-old Ottawa man who disappeared nearly a week ago and may be in the Kansas City area.
Richard L. Evans was last seen about 5 a.m. Friday, when he left for work, said his mother, Jessica Phifer. Evans had recently moved home to care for his mother and her husband. Family members reported Evans missing earlier this week, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
Evans left behind most of his personal possessions. His cellphone was not working. He was driving a black 1998 Honda Civic.
Evans often drove to Kansas City and Independence for errands and to visit friends, Phifer said.
