Third homicide in three days reported in Kansas City

Kansas City police are investigating the shooting death of a man whose body was found just after midnight in the 3200 block of Holmes Street.

A caller alerted police to a person lying in the middle of the road. The victim had been shot in the head but had a faint pulse and was breathing when officers arrived. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.

Two men were seen fleeing on foot immediately after the shooting. Police did have not have detailed descriptions of them.
