I-35 back open after multiple vehicle crash in Olathe slows morning commute

Northbound Interstate 35 traffic in Olathe squeezed by on one lane for a while during Monday morning’s rush hour after a multiple vehicle crash.

The crash occurred about 6:40 a.m. near Santa Fe Drive, causing traffic to quickly back up beyond 151st Street.

The two left lanes of northbound I-35 as well as the left shoulder were closed while crews worked to clear the wreckage.

All lanes of the of the highway reopened shortly before 8 a.m.
