Two men wounded in Westport area shooting
Kansas City police are investigating a shooting early Sunday morning in the Westport area that left two men wounded, one critically.
Off-duty police and Jackson County deputies working in the Westport area responded to a report of a disturbance and shots fired outside the Sun Fresh Market at 4001 Mill St. about 2:45 a.m. Sunday. One man had been taken by private vehicle to a hospital with a critical gunshot wound.
Another man was shot in the leg and went to a different hospital with a wound was not critical. He told police he did not want to prosecute.
