Pizza delivery driver killed in crash into pole
A delivery driver for Pizza Hut died Saturday when police said he lost control of his speeding car on Blue Parkway and struck a traffic signal pole.
Senam Nikoue, 31, died on his way to the hospital after the accident about 3:45 p.m., Kansas City police reported.
Police said Nikoue was returning to the restaurant for his next delivery when he tried to avoid traffic stopped at a red light by pulling into the turn lane. He lost control of his Toyota Camry and struck the pole. Police said he was not wearing a seat belt.
