Child flown to hospital after getting hit by SUV in Pleasant Hill
A boy struck by a sport utility vehicle in Pleasant Hill Tuesday morning was airlifted to a hospital, police said.
Police received a report at 6:36 a.m. of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian near Missouri 7 and Maple Lane, said Patrol Sgt. Todd Burris of the Pleasant Hill Police Department.
A sport utility vehicle appeared to have struck a young boy, who was flown to Children’s Mercy Hospital, Burris said. Authorities interviewed the driver, who had waited at the scene, and called in Cass County accident investigators to perform an accident reconstruction.
