KC shooting injures two, police say

Two people were shot near 40th Street and Elmwood on Saturday night and taken to hospitals with serious injuries, Kansas City police said.

At least one of those wounded had life-threatening injuries, a police dispatcher said.

Detectives were investigating, and no further details were available.
