JCCC trustees sign off on operating budget with slight increase
Johnson County Community College trustees have approved an operating budget that’s up $2.4 million, or 1.7 percent, from last year.
The $140.1 million budget for the 2014-2015 academic year is built on several assumptions, including that the Overland Park college will see a 5.5 percent increase in assessed valuation from the county.
It also depends on tuition going up by $3 per credit hour for in-state students and $8 per credit hour for out-of-state students.
