Father arrested for allegedly shooting son during argument in Lee’s Summit

A father allegedly shot his 20-year-old son during an argument early Friday at a Lee’s Summit home.

Police officers responded to a report of a shooting about 2 a.m. in the 1700 block of Northeast Ridgeview Drive.

Arriving officers found a 20-year-old man suffering from a single gunshot wound. The man was taken to the hospital.

The victim’s father allegedly shot his son during an argument inside the home. Police arrested the father and continue to investigate the shooting.
