Father, child reunited after SUV stolen with child sleeping inside
Kansas City, Kan., police reunited a father with his child early Thursday after their SUV was stolen with the child sleeping inside.
The father went into a convenience store at a gas station at North 38th Street and Washington Avenue shortly after midnight, police said. He left the child in the running SUV, according to media reports.
A man jumped into the vehicle and drove off. It was found about a block away in a parking lot, police said.
The child was unharmed. Police took a suspect into custody.
