Lane of southbound I-29 bridge over Davidson Road to close for repairs

Crews on Tuesday morning will close one lane of the bridge that carries southbound Interstate 29 over Davidson Road in Kansas City, North.

The closure will occur at 9 a.m., just after the morning rush hour. Crews will rehabilitate the bridge, one lane at a time. Once crews finish work on first lane, they will shift traffic to work the other lane. The project is expected to be completed by Oct. 5, weather permitting.

Officials with the Missouri Department of Transportation is urging drives to obey the warning signs and use caution while driving through the work zone.

The work is part of the bridge improvements underway along the I-29 corridor in Platte County. The project includes the rehabilitation of 12 bridges.
