Munday on Monday: Easy-peasy

It’s odd: a word or phrase arises;

You’ll hear it once, and then surprise is

Now everywhere it standardizes.

You can’t escape; it mesmerizes

As every use legitimizes

Till far afield it publicizes.

And such to me was easy-peasy,

A usage hip and brash and breezy;

In conversation, fits so easy;

If overused, a little cheesy.

Perhaps this all will turn you queasy,

Then sheesh! Or rather, make that sheeshy!
