Guilty plea in Shawnee bank robbery
A Lee’s Summit man has pleaded guilty to robbing a Shawnee bank in December.
Scott Thario, 22, also pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Kansas City, Kan., to unlawfully possessing a firearm during a crime of violence.
Federal prosecutors said Thario was armed with a short-barreled shotgun when he held up the Intrust Bank at 19501 West 65th Terrace on Dec. 16.
He faces a minimum prison sentence of 10 years, prosecutors said. Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 5.
